Syntax for using BAS commands within Custom Code

Ive posted an example project here,if it is called from the global area it is ok i think otherwise does not work

How to call bas commands etc from custom code
example bas custom command _call(BasFunction,null)!
this will work, but if we try within function calls etc it will error

thanks for any help on this
